Ashley has been choreographing regularly in many capacities since the age of seventeen. While studying at Transylvania University, she had the opportunity to choreograph for the university's choirs, dance team, her Greek organization, and for theater productions.  She choreographed musicals such as title of show, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Beguiled Again, and Schoolhouse Rock Live!, and assisted with the choreography of Carousel. In the fall of 2010 Ashley collaborated with one of the university's theater professors, Dr. Timothy Soulis, and a fellow music major, Alex Yaden, to create The Bakkhai; a rock opera based on the ancient text 'The Bacchae' from Euripides. With Soulis adapting the Greek tragedy into a modern day opera and Yaden composing an original score, Ashley choreographed the show and aided in each cast member discovering and physically embodying their characters. In 2011 she received an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance from the Kentucky Chapter of the National Society of Arts & Letters after competing in their choreography competition.

Ashley frequently showcases her choreography in New York City, for both film and for stage. She has presented pieces in the Brooklyn Dance Festival’s Performance for Emerging Choreographers, in the 2018 and 2020 NACHMO theater showcases, in the Sans Limites Movement Festival, in On 1 Condition: Unicorns, in the New York Jazz Choreography Project, at the Holi Hai Festival on Governor's Island, as a participant in the CORE Choreography Competition, at The Tank, and in APEX at Peridance. Ashley has presented dance films in the Dance Shorts Film Festival, in Life In Motion: a Colorado Film Festival, and for Jump/Cut Dance On Film. In the spring of 2019 her short film ‘tides’ was selected to be included in an installation at the Plaxall Gallery in Long Island City, and in the fall of 2020 she received the award for Best Dance Short from the Astoria Film Festival for her film ‘myself’.
